Big portions, low prices, great food, fries so fresh they're served too hot to eat yet, unique old-timey atmosphere, and friendly and attentive staff. I'd give it 6 stars if Google would let me.

I ordered the family meal for 4 and everything was fantastic! The pulled pork had a delicious smoky flavor. The price was also fantastic! We will definitely be back!

We LOVE Hendrix Barbecue in Spencer!! We do not eat at any other locations!! They are the ultimate Family restaurant. The food is good, service is great, and Kids eat FREE which is phenomenal!!! This place has fed our hungry family on many occasions when we were starving and struggling financially.. Thank you Hendrix

This place was amazing!! Absolutely no complaints. The food was delicious. The staff and waitress were awesome. First time here, and we loved it. I love Barbecue and Love trying new BBQ spots, and Hendrix Barbecue is definitely worth the 5 stars. We will definitely be returning soon!

This place is great!! I've driven by a dozen times and it's always crowded, so I decided to stop and have lunch. The food, service, prices and atmosphere were awesome. Had the BBQ plate, with sweet tea, definitely recommend you give it a try.....

This is one of our favorite spots to eat. Our kids always beg to come here and get a cheeseburger. Not only are their cheeseburgers delicious but you can get 3 free kids meals per 1 adult meal. This really makes things affordable for larger families. *side note: not the best photo of the cheeseburger because my daughter already started to dig in* My husband ordered the bbq chicken, red slaw, and pintos. I ordered the chopped pork bbq, red slaw, and pintos. Everything was delicious and we came on a very busy day. Even though they were very busy, service and food quality was still great.

Stopped in on Memorial Day Monday after visiting the Train museum with my grandbabies. The parking lot was pretty full but the restaurant is larger than it looks from outside and we were seated rather quickly. Our server was amazing! She had the patience of Job since this was our first visit and we asked a lot of questions about the menu! So many wonderful choices! She even brought me a small sample of the chicken and dumplings to taste since I couldn’t decide! The dumplings were delicious! My son ordered the bbq and loved it! Husband ordered a huge breakfast platter and everything was cooked to perfection! The red slaw is a must try if you’ve never had it! My grandson, 4 years old, noticed three law enforcement officers in the next section of the dining room and was curious so I walked him a little closer and they waved us over to their table. They gave my grandson a gold badge sticker and chatted with us for a few minutes! I thought that was super nice since they were on their lunch break and my grandson was in awe! I don’t remember their names but they really made the visit special and I appreciate it! The entire experience was amazing!

I love it here. They make on top of many things the best grits and the Bacon is always cooked just the way I like it, juicy and chewable. The staff were very friendly. I aka dine in.
